Last week’s Energy Class in Houston conducted by RBN Energy, LLC revealed the continuing trend of increased global consumption of crude oil, “NGL’s” ( i.e. Natural Gas Liquids ) and Liquified Natural Gas even as the supply of renewable energy and number of EV’s increase. The U.S. will continue to play a pivotal role in meeting this global demand.
The irony of increased consumption of hydrocarbons despite increases in renewable energy might best be explained by Jevon’s Paradox which asserts “in the long term, an increase in efficiency in resource use will generate an increase in resource consumption rather than a decrease.”
Shrieve’s synthetic compressor lubricant technology will continue to play a pivotal roll in the production of NGL’s.
